Join Our Farm-to-Market CSA

Union Market is delighted to announce that we’ve partnered with Rustic Roots Delivery to create a farm-to-market CSA program for our shoppers. CSAs are Community-Supported Agriculture programs that allow members to buy weekly “shares” of organic and sustainable produce from local farmers during the growing season.

Sign up for a season-long CSA share or order a basket on a week-to-week basis and you’ll receive all the best fruit and vegetables the season has to offer—and you can pick it up right at your neighborhood Union Market.

Rustic Roots Delivery was founded by Jeff and Emer Moore, a Long Island-based husband-and-wife team. They’re on a mission to bring you fantastic seasonal and sustainable produce through their partnerships with local and organic farms. Our partnership with them is just another way we’re working to provide our customers with seasonal and sustainable produce and helping to support local farmers.

Weekly Orders or Seasonal Shares
You can sign up for a season’s worth of weekly Fruit & Veggie baskets all at once, or just order a basket when you want it on a week-by-week basis. Even better, unlike a typical CSA, there’s no deadline or waiting list—you can join at any point during the season for a pro-rated cost.

Union Market shoppers can now take advantage of a 25% discount on season-long CSA shares, plus free delivery to any Union Market location. And if you prefer to order a share on a week-to-week basis instead, you’ll still save big—over $15 for each Fruit & Veggie basket—with our exclusive coupon codes from Rustic Roots Delivery. That works out to less than $50 per week for an abundance of local and organic produce!

What You Get
A typical Fruit & Veggie Basket is 7-8 vegetables plus 2-3 kinds of fruit. Here’s a look at a recent basket, so you know what to expect:

Your produce will be carefully packed in a reusable insulated cooler bag with a handle for easy transportation. There is a refundable deposit for the cooler bags that will be applied to the total price of your first order at checkout. Typically this would be $22, but the discounted deposit for Union Market shoppers is just $10. You simply return the bags when you pick up your next basket at Union Market, or pay an an additional $5 per bag if you decide to keep them.

How it Works
Payment and ordering is handled exclusively through Rustic Roots Delivery, so you’ll create an account with them first. Every Friday and Sunday, Rustic Roots will send out an email to let you know what’s on offer for the week ahead. If you’re buying week-by-week, be sure to order your basket by Sunday at midnight. Rustic Roots will deliver everything to the Union Market location of your choice on the following Wednesday, for no extra fee. You’ll pick up your share at your local Union Market on Wednesdays between 3PM and 6PM—just ask for a manager at the register so we can retrieve your basket for you. It’s as simple as that!
